Super duper, Terri. As I emailed you, I already signed up for the PBWiki and am excited about putting together a useful tool kit. It's still a bit unclear what sort of resources we're trying to pull together. Can you write a simple intro about wha...

I get their newsletter: hardly have time to read it, but this one seems to have some good advice:

Fun with Zin and Za: and some other things

It was great to meet so many of you folks last night, thanks to Kerry and SPI for doing the event, and of course Lance for setting up this community and getting it all started. And Gary for the excellent nijikai spot: they really need to get GMAP, seriously.

So, here are some links apropos of last night's conversations:

Aloha Terri!
How are you doing?
I was thinking of you the other day, about doing video and/or podcasts for an NPO. Let's meet up soon to catch up, lots of things going on!

And congrats on a great job with Dems Abroad! Go Obama!

Take care,
Lyle

Hey Terri,
I was thinking about your message yesterday and recalled you saying you used social media for political causes in the Obama election. Why not start a discussion on our group around the effectiveness of social media in political activism. It doesn't have to be Japan-centric.
Best.

Terri,
I love long long posts so thanks! Sounds like you have great experiences in ans sm and the social, political space is a good place to do it. "social media" is synonymous with "social web" for me. It's this activity of people creating, communicating, connecting, ranking, recommending, joining and dare I say existing in the web as human beans (as my son's book call us). Certainly podcasts have that "media" like connection to traditional mass media (TV, news, etc.) But the definition extending to UGC being words, photos, links, etc. at first made my brain do a somersault. Kind of used to it now though. Actually in the Social Media Predictions for 2009 report someone described it as the "human web" which I thought was kind of interesting. Gotta get to work. Have a great day!

Hey Terri, welcome to our little circle. I had a quick look at your site and it looks great! How long have you been doing social media in Japan? Just to let you know, this ning is a little different than Tokyo2Point0 in that it's about sharing views on social media thru the site. I'm looking forward to reading your ideas so feel free to jump right in!
